Note

This is my blog/online workbook documenting; exercises, thoughts, ideas and processes for my studio paper 213.158 Art Place.

I originally started using a physical workbook to illustrate my progress through the paper but have since decided to make the switch to an online form of documentation so please bear with my first few posts which are pictures of my physical workbook.

Please note: the posts appear with the most recent at the top, so when reading this blog please start at the oldest/bottom post and work your way up

10x10 square exercise

10x10 square exercise: Section off a 10cm square area on the floor, and then scale it up into a 50cm squared interpretation on the wall.

The image on the left is my first workbook page for this exercise which details my square and my concept for my upscale creation.
The image on the right details the concept that the group worked on where the areas around the floor were stacked to represent the pole, and from there they spread in relation to the space. The pictures show me working on the wall - using crayon and marker. Jennifer and I collaborated - connecting our squares. The bottom of page has notes from our discussion with Maddie in regards to materials and how to better our work.
